Genome Browser Display

Legend:

Navigating the genome browser

• Display gene function: Mouse over the gene tag (e.g. GBAA0420) of interest. It's function will be displayed at the bottom left section of the plot
• Zoom In: click button
• Zoom Out: click button
• Max Zoom Out: click button
• Zoom In to Nucelitude Level: click button
• Move from one region to another: click and hold button, then pan left or right
• Move left/right: In the genome region, press and hold the right mouse button to pan left/right
• Move Up/down: Use right scroll bar

Below is an example representation of the signatures on the Bacillus anthracis Ames genome:

 

Signatures Table

Legend:

• Sig start: Indicates the start index of the signature on the genome
• Sig stop: Indicates the stop index of the signature on the genome
• Sequence: Displays DNA sequence of the signature (Allows user to run a NCBI BLAST) search on a particular signature)
• Gene start/stop: Indicates the start/stop position of the gene which the signature lays in
• Gene Function: Indicates gene function
• Gene ID: Indicates gene ID (links to TIGR Organism PATHEMA organism description page)
